ChopstickDiner.com / Healthy lunchbox!

my healthy lunchbox set! What a cute packaging!

HELLO PEEPS! Like I said in my previous post I've been really busy for the past week and same to the next!
So making lunches for myself was never an option for me cause of my busy schedule, I really salute those woman
who stays fit and healthy and packs lunches to the office themselves! It's such a desire to become one like them next time.
I believe we put in too much junk into our bodies we sometimes neglect the fact that we need to eat healthy to stay healthy.
I don't usually exercise as well, I only exercise my arm to put LAYs in my mouth lol it's the sad truth. I'm really unhealthy,
especially with a tight schedule I often opt for foods outside, that's fried with dirty reused oil and probably a lot of other
unhealthy things that I don't wanna know of. Many times I think of detox-ing all the bad stuffs that I put into my body...

...then I stumbled upon this really cool healthy lunchbox site! CHOPSTICKDINER.COM
WHICH DELIVERS DIRECTLY TO YOUR DOORSTEP / WORKPLACE! More info on their delivery HERE
They give FREE DELIVERY for those above rm50 and only an additional rm5 delivery fee for those below rm50 :)
There's tons of other HEALHY LUNCHBOXES to order, check out the MENU HERE
so instead of other unhealthy stuffs like mamak food and "chap fan" (mixed rice)
I opt for something healthier just to give a lil cleansing to my greasy tummy (eeeee)

Such beautiful colors (all entering my stomach soon). Healthy yet pretty stuffs! :D I'm excited.

First off, I ordered the HALF HALF - it's a combination of Viet Spring Rolls, and a choice of your salad,
Great option if you ask me and if you're new to them, you can not only try one but TWO different combos from the menu!
Money well spent, oh by the way, all these freshly prepared lunch boxes cost RM15 which is pretty reasonable if you ask me,
RM15 for healthy, fresh food well prepared for you and delivered to your doorstep so you don't need to go out the hot sun.
Not only you decrease the possibilities of getting skin cancer and a bad tan, it's damn convenient, filling, and also surprisingly yummy!
Like I said before I'm not a person to always eat my greens, but it's been a while since I've seen greens looking so appetizing!
OKAY so I did some stalking research la, Ms Elaine (the superwoman behind CHOPSTICKDINER.COM) was a freelance food stylist.
(No wonder the presentation is so nice!) She's also a supermom of two kids who runs her own company now!
Okay not that you've known a lil bit about the background, let me show you what I ordered:

ah hehe, their spring rolls from their HALF HALF lunchbox are too cute!

my rating : 4/5 - if you like vegs,
You know, I'm still trying to eat as much vegs as I can to stay healthy, so this one was a mouthful of vegs for me.

Next one : Smoke Salmon Caesar Salad !! RATING : 5/5 :D

your name and the item you ordered will be stick on the side of the box!
so no worries if you get confused if you ordered a lot.

This is my favorite, probably cause i'm a sucker for Smoke Salmon salad, mmmm to die for!
The greens were extremely fresh and they still gave out a crispy crunch in my mouth followed by the croutons and beef bacon bits!
You cannot go wrong with Smoke Salmon Salad I tell you, so if you're unsure what to order, go for this dish!
It's surprisingly filling as well which left me greedily wanting for more! So guys, if you're feeling healthy do something good for your tummy!
(oh shit that rhymed) Submit your lunch orders by 10pm and get it delivered to your the next working day!
OKAY, HAPPY HEALHY MUNCHING KIDS! :) xoxo

Wong Ah Wah Famous Chicken Wing @ Jalan Alor FOOD REVIEW!

You'll need to pardon me with the bad phone quality pictures but this place is way too awesome not to blog about!
And because it was a spontaneous trip again thanks to my weird cravings, lol anyways let's go!

MONDAY NIGHT!
After work, (and during work) I was already super super super excited to head to this place.
I've been talking about this place THE WHOLE DAY at work because of the sudden cravings for chicken wings!
And I've never ever been to Wong Ah Wah before... Yes... I know.... It's sad. And whenever I say chicken wings,
people would tell me to go try Wong Ah Wah's one at Jalan Alor. The reason why I haven't been there before
is because I don't usually go to that area (it's beside Changkat) and plus I don't usually eat out or go out at night much.
And it's amazing because I got to go on this lil ADVENTURE with the BFF whom I miss so much!!
Frankly everytime's a fun time whenere I'm with her, so anyways! Let's talk CHICKEN WINGS!!! omg so exciting!

SO FIRST, PARKING!

I hear from my colleagues (yea since I've been talking about it whole day at work) that parking there is a lil difficult.
There's the usual Changkat price parking where it's around rm10-rm15 per spot, or you could do what I did,
Park illegally by the road side, in hopes that your car won't get scratched or banged. yea that's what I did.
Because we weren't gonna be there long and I thought it would be a waste spending on parking, anyways
after that it was a short walk to the famous "market(?)" at Jalan Alor. I'm calling it Market since there's lots of food there.
and just look at the pictures, it does look like those typical night market place. WOOHOO! First time here!!
But yea, after we got our parking. my friend saw this sign and I was like... OMGGGGG! We're finally here!!

First thing to do : Pose like a typical tourist... Pardon me cause I'm just TOO EXCITED to try these famous babies!
My colleagues was telling me not have too high expectation but I just couldn't contain my excitement!!

AND BAMMMM!! THEY'RE HEREEEEEE!!
JALAN ALOR'S FAMOUS CHICKEN WING!!
Pardon the blur picture because I was shaking with excitement while taking this photo!

uuuu LA LA~ Smells sooooo gooooood!! Really really good cause it's GRILLEDDD!
Oh yes, welcome to my tummy chicken wings!! We ordered 8 pieces. 4 each, so it's just nice!!
I was wondering if I should just PLAINLY order their Famous Chicken Wings for dinner, or some other food as well,
but we decided to try other stuffs since we hardly come here and we're already here anyways~
The chicken wings are RM3 for a piece! Marinated with their special sauce (quite thick!) Which had a honey kind of taste!
The chicken was crispy on the outside, chewy and juicy on the inside! So tender too! And it was exquisite.
Tender, juicy meat was dancing in my mouth as it's sauce melts on my tongue and as my tastebuds rejoys on it's flavoring.
Ohhhhh... So good.... For a moment I wanted to stay in that moment...
Damn greedy after finishing this plate my mind was wanting for somemore........!!

Next thing we ordered is a recommendation from my colleague - the Xiu York (3 layer pork) mee.
It's just like the typical Wan Tan Mee, but this time with the 3 layered pork!!
Usually it's minced meat, or char xiu, but this time it's XIU YORK. my favorite way to eat the pig.
Salty crispy fried skin with it's sinful soft bouncy fatness from the pork with enough amount of meat to top it up,
mixed with our local delicacy - the wan tan mee, stirred to perfection because the saltiness from the pork
goes so well with the mee and vegs! Our typical chinese way of eating Wan Tan mee...
YUMS! and this was only RM12 (single) more than enough for the bought of us to share! :)
I would so order this again next time! Here's another thing that I would order again:

HAM DAN SOTONG! ( SALTED EGG SQUID!)
OHH MY LORD... Put HAM DAN with anything and I would like it. and these amazing dish is to die for!!
Salty but not so salty because I could taste the york of this HAM DAN!(salted egg). They put a generous amount of egg in this!
which is again... AMAZING. and thank you so much for doing that chef! Another thing awesome is that
some HAM DAN dishes makes the food soggy because of the eggs, but this one is fried to perfection!
The Squid is still semi crispy!! Because I think they put flour and then deep fry it with the HAM DAN goodness...
OH GOOD LORD.... before I die I must eat this again... and it's only at RM15!

close up of the HAM DAN (salted egg) goodness . COME TO MAMA!

TYPICAL BEFORE AND AFTER PIC, because I know we're gonna clean everything up!!

and just after 15 mins!!! DAMN FAST! we both were like, " Eh? Finish already ah? so fast!!" hahaha

BURPPPPP!!! Satisfied HAPPY FACE :) sighhh.. really happy and it's funny how they say good food makes you happy
it's fucking true. And honestly, I can't wait to get back here!!! Despite that it's a bit far from my place,
but omg. You MUST TRAVEL for good fooddddddd!!
And not only that, this amazing good food only cost about RM45 for the both of us!!
Which I think is really really really really WORTH every cent compared to those high class chinese restaurants in shopping malls.
This one was sooooooooo gooood.... omgg..........

That's it guys! I hope I made you hungry as much as I made myself right now. haha
TO MORE CHICKEN WINGSSS!!!

UPDATE!!! SO I RETURNED AGAIN AND I NEEDA SHARE WHAT ELSE I ORDEREDDD! :D

THIS TIME I GOT TO TRY THE LALAAAA. so awesomeee! Note to self : please get back there and order this soon!

I was expecting the ikan bakar would be nice, but hmmm I've tried better ones!

but nevertheless, we finished EVERYTHING AGAIN hahah.
notice that the same thing I ordered with the previous time is the HAMDAN sotongs, and of course the CHICKEN WINGs!

I love you wong ah wah hahahhahha. wtf.

Yeast and Antipodean Food Review in Bangsar

Okay this may be my one step closer to being a Food Junkie Blogger.
I can see it now... SUNDAESINS, Fashion + Food Blogger. amazing. that's so me.
And if I were to really be a food blogger, I'm guessing it's gonna be an expensive hobby.
Fashion and food, two of the things I appreciate dearly in life. If I was a food blogger, I'm gonna be true and upfront.
If the food is amazing / mind blowing of course naturally I'll be promoting their stuff like crazy,
but if the food sucks I won't cover the flaws up, cause I realise that's what a lot of food bloggers do.
Because they're paid / invited to have a free meal at a particular restaurant hence they have to say nice things about them.
Which I hate the most, because it tricks the readers into spending money to dine in a place where it's not as good as it's written.
But before I talk about Yeast and Antipodean, I wanna talk fashion! :)

top, bag: topshop / skirt: H&m / belt: Boss / shoes: Dr.Martens

I recently (okay just a few days ago) purchased this skirt from H&M.
OMG I'm so happy! especially when the wind blows it I feel this skirt has so much attitude!
I know that they have it in Forever 21 but when I check it's all sold out :( I couldn't find any of my size.
until I went into H&M and found that they have so many other various options of slit maxis to choose from.
from different colors, to different cuttings, I had my eye on this one, but actually I always wanted a single slit black maxi,
but instead I gave this double side slit a try :)
And I realised my wardrobe nowadays is always starting with a white top, I have gazillions of white tops it's insane :(
I'm such a boring lady.

Okay we can talk about FOOD now, first off, YEAST @ Bangsar!
Yeast Bistro @ Telawi,
24G, Jalan Telawi 2, Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.
Tel: 03-2282-0118
opens from 8am-6pm.
Dinner menu will be on from Mid-December :)

interior photos from their facebook page

Another bakery in Bangsar you say? how do they survive when there's already tedboy and tous les jours there...
Well, it's so different, so so different... this is a French cuisine restaurant + bakery. Bangsar definitely needed YEAST
this is perhaps the only truly French boulangerie in town, with such authentic decor and tiles, and french bistro music playing in the background.
definitely worth visiting for those who feel like having an european touch.

Now I'm a bread lover, a fan of bread, but not like those massimo, high 5, or gardenia type larh,
I'm a fan of european / french bread, the ones that have texture and a good strong fragrance to it.
A good bread is one with quality and the smell plays such an important role,
and when you bite on it, the texture and level of softness /  hardness is so important to distinguish the quality.
Oh hey, if you're like me, you'll definitely love Yeast,
and p/s, here's a post to check if you're addicted to bread, it's freaking hilarious! no12 is so me.
and I admit it... I'm clearly addicted to bread.

I ordered the smoke salmon with potato salad and mojito, oh they're both just so great.
Normally when you order salmon salad in most of the other places there would be more greens than the salmon,
but here in Yeast it's the other way round, which is totally fine by me, in fact it's good news because the salmon was so fresh!
I'm not sure if that white stuff is some cream or cheese but who cares.. They go so damn well with each other!
and I love their potatoes...
And I have this tendency to order mojito in every new place I go to, I'm like the mojito expert,
and honestly, I think this mojito is THE BOOM! it's so damn refreshing I can't describe it, or maybe the day was too hot ..

After that we shared this duck + cheese puff.
We were both damn full from the lunch already but oh well it is a food hunt!
And plus it's very tempting to try how does duck and cheese puffs taste together...
and boy, thank god we shared, cause it's so filling! the chesse.. gosh, it just expands in your tummy.
it was an interesting combo, and it's one of the top recommended food from their pastries.
Overall, I FREAKING LOVE THIS PLACE...

not only I love the extension of variety they have for bread, but also the cosy french environment :)
The food, the service, the environment there is top notch, and the boss, Christoher even humbly serves you,
ah i just love it. Definitely one of my top fav places to dine in Bangsar... reckon I'll be back for more.
And the price wasn't expensive at all, it was around 85+ for our dishes which is totally worth it considering the quality and quantity.
tip of the day : The bread is sold 30% every 5pm - 7pm! :) happiness!!

then we went to Mivalley > pool > shop > Tong Pak Fu.

I couldn't eat anymore from the lunch cause I was insanely full
but considering this hot weather, ice blended desert is a must.
Tong Pak Fu vs Snowflake.
well I think it's personally preference.
I've always been a loyal customer to snowflakes cause I love the taro balls, and their flavors.
Tong pak fu is for those who prefer finer thinner ices but for me I prefer Snowflakes' texture:)

After that, back to Antipodean @ Bangsar
Antipodean Cafe @ Telawi,
20, Jalan Telawi 2, Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.
Tel: 03-2282-0411
opens from 8am-10pm.

Antipodean, probably the on steaming place to go, a breakfast place which is highly recommended by many food blogs.
Even friends around me are posting instagram pictures #Antipodean... Well, I don't recommend it at all.
Here's some of the reasons why :

1) menu
The only and only menu is only written on the only one wall.
can you imagine sitting all the way back and you have to go all the way near the door to order your food?

2) concept
When I walked into the restaurant I felt that I was walking into a typical downtown China restaurant minus the round tables.
There wasn't any description or what-so-ever why did they call this place as it's named on the website,
so I'm taking what I searched from the dictionary... Antipodean: places / points opposite each other on the globe
well I hope that's what their brand identity is, a fusion of west and east perhaps? of asia and europe.
But I think they could do so so so much more better with such a cool name like that.
starting with the ugly dim light, and the furnitures...
it's like a more economical version of Plan B.

3) mainstream
mainstream is good, especially to your business. But I think the buzz is too overrated for Antipodean,
it's everywhere! and it definitely brought up my expectations before I visited the place because of it's craze.
But it downfall too quickly when I ate the food :(

4) space
because of it's mainstream-ness, and no reservation rules, the places is PACKED AS SARDIN.
Especially on weekends and holidays. considering that fact,
I think the place is a bit too small and it gets stuffy when it's too packed:/

OH WELL, besides the downside, it's a good news that there's a all day breakfast menu.
I ordered the all day breakfast set for my dinner because, well, that's what they're famous for.
But it was a disappointment :( so there's no good news.
I highly recommend those who seek a good breakfast in Bangsar to go to 3 little pigs and the big bad wolf
For me, their breakfast is the best so far and they're always so full everyday!
but at least they have a better space and a great environment, and a cooler concept.
Wayy larger portion and a better quality and the price is just around a few Rm more than Antipodean.
not to diss on Antipodean, but I don't think I'm ever going there again...

I know the coffee is one of the best there and maybe I might just go there for the coffee next time.
correct me if I'm wrong, but if you have a favorite dish in Antipodean,
just comment down below and I shall give it a try the next time:)
or maybe not.
:P

But phew, after that I went to
golf > the Curve > conjuring > Zouk > mcdonalds.

and got back home at 6am... man.. what a tiring day that was...
did a lot of driving (not really, just sitting in the car) lol.
trying new things (food especially) is just too damn exciting! :D
till then folks! I can't wait for my next stop in my food hunt list!

which is happening tomorrow ;) xoxo!

Marini's on 57

wearing

dress : topshop inspired dress with floral cut outs from CATINTHEBOWL
bag : metallic messenger bag from ALDO
shoes : jeffrey Campbell inspired litas with studs from FASHIONSANITY

I know,
I've been slacking a lot on blogging,
and I don't want to blame it fully on my upcoming graduation exhibition,
but it is taking a lot of my energy, mentally and physically in both ways,
extracting every energy juice i have like a blender and consuming me in a way I never felt before.
It's also very much affecting my studies because there's like 4 important subjects that I'm handling
plus one big graduation exhibition that I have to manage properly because I play quite a big role in it :(
I'm not complaining or what, I'm just letting you guys know (or my self at least) and understand
the reason why I haven't been blogging as much as I want to nowadays.
and I fret that being in this ocean of responsibilities pounded by waves of stress,
I'm afraid that I might not see the shore...

but anyways,
thankfully fashion saves me and it's the only way i truly de-stress.
yea, some people play video games or smoke to de-stress but I shop!
to me, it's like giving myself a reward after a hard day at work.

Last week
I was the happiest girl because I received this ultra super incredible pair of litas from Fashion Sanity
Which so generously sponsored me 2 pairs of shoes, they're increabliy affortable too!
only rm110 for this awesome babies, so much cheaper than the original which is like rm600++?!
i swear this pair of awesomeness is the one of the top 3 in my shoe collection. GOSH.
super comfy it's even one of the most comfortable heels I've ever wore.
good quality and looks so much like the real one. :)
My face split into two by my humungous grin when I saw this.
words could not describe how butterflies rampaged in my stomach when it was a perfect fit!
I'm usually a size 38, sometimes bigger, sometimes smaller in other brand,
I know, I have cacat feet, haha. but for this i ordered the same size, and it fits!!
I'll definitely talk more about FS on my next post cause they're awesome,
but for now I will go back to my main topic which is my tittle for today haha.
Gosh i was so happy.

haha, p/s I notice that I always wear this white dress for big days,
it's like the play it safe but stay cute dress for events.
like the time where I met my crush since high school NigaHiga

another way to truly de-stress is through food. Good food to be exact.
and with a good partner it was heaven. lol, i'm still getting trying to get use to jimmy's hair,
so honored I was the first to see it~ haha! dined in this special place for his post birthday dinner. :)
and dining with the best atmosphere around you is just so relaxing it instantly makes me feel peaceful.
I was really stressed and cried the other night, but after the almost 3 hour meal up in the sky,
everything seem to get better, and I felt the most lightest mentally within the week of stress. TAT
mmmm... fashion, friends, food, and relaxation...

CAN I PLEASEEE WAKE UP TO THIS VIEW EVERYDAYYYYYYY.
omg, being a jakun as I am, I kept on pronouncing and thinking it was Martini's on 57 at the first time.
WHY AM I SO JAKUNNNN hahaha! Martini's martini's wtf, well it's certainly easier to remember!
After that I learnt that the name Marini's belong to the owner so yea, thank you google for telling me that.
I ordered lamb shank, and he ordered beef something. Okay, I'm probably not good with italian words,
but the menu was filled with italian names like blu ee partii lamb shank laskana, or like
pasta burrata beef ribs pizza la aii ieee oooh buzangga which makes no sense to me ==
the only italian names for food I remember is pasta and oglio aglio...
HAHA, does pizza counts?

Everything was exquisite there. mmmmmm. mindblowing relaxing, seriously!!!
I love dining in the sky, I seriously can't wait for the next trip omg...
The height really makes you feel like you're in a plane at night.
and wow, the next time I'm coming here for their sunset! I cannot imagine the view......
writing all these down makes me relive the moment again :')
I wish I could said I was sponsored by them,
but no, hahahahah, that's impossible.
The staffs were extraordinary well trained, although I heard a lot of bad remarks about the staffs online,
but I guess they probably fired and changed new ones :)
the food was okay for me, I can't wait to try others next time! yumss!!

I miss you BIG GUY! wait for me to dine next to you soon!!!

I could go on and blog and blog about that special and delightful evening,
but I need to stop now since I'll be going back to my hometown soon.
By the time you see this post I'm probably already off cause this is a scheduled post,
I know, feels mind fucked right? hahaha, you think I'm talking to you now, but I'm not :P

Owhhh Marini's I miss your view right now...
Goodnight, I'll be thinking of your breathtaking view tonight :')
xoxo's all to you.
