What to wear for FMFA ?

Me and my friend Vickie got the tickets half a year ago.

It was the first batch of early bird tickets and we had to line up outside Rock Corner Gardens Midvalley to purchase it.

We had sandwiches, sitting (having a picnic) on the floor along with all the crazy people like us, and the line was practically insane! 

However the organizers were keeping it fair only allowing 1 ticket purchase per person, there's a good and bad side to that. 

We got the 3 day passes for only rm98 then, but if you were to sell it now it'll be rm500-rm600 +

Imagine the money we would make selling FMFA tickets?! what a great investment!!!

I should consider investing on early-bird tickets in the future for other rave events...

BUT DAMN, countdown 3...2...1. We've waited for 6 MONTHS and BAM (!!!) FMFA is just 2 days away now.

TIME FLIES SOOOO FASTTTT!!! I'm really pleased with the theme being SAFARI this year,

I can already imagine seeing all the "wild animals" coming out to party on that day, SO LOOKING FORWARD NOW.

Plus thanks to Future Music Festival Asia's FACEBOOK page has really done an amazing job bringing up the hype for a few months now.

I'm impressed with their constant social media updates that were surprisingly not annoying like some promo pages, 

they had lots of contest to win the tickets, and set up pre-parties everywhere, and updates on location and set times, 

Bravo guys on the social media part, what a great way for marketing and bringing in sales!

ANYWAYS! so vickie and I (being all hyped up) gave some thought on how to plan our trip.

One of them being WHAT TO WEAR LAH. -typical number 1 question to pop up in a girls' mind.

So if you were wondering what to wear for fmfa ? HERE it is folks! 

Here's what we'll be wearing for Future Music Festival Asia 2014,

hope this post inspires you if you have no idea what to wear for FMFA...

DAY 1 - DEADMAU5

Knowing that probably a lot of people will be wearing the iconic Deadmau5 headgear, or be a mouse or dress up like minnie mouse, 

we were prepared to be different ;D BEING CATSSSSSSS. WILD CATS that is!!! oh I forgot to add in the sexy part;)

Check out our matching skirts, cat ears head band, and our leopard eye make up!

We're thinking of helping each other paint leopard prints on some parts of our bodies, I'm the SNOW LEOPARD, and she's the hot JUNGLE LEOPARD!

DAY 2 - A STATE OF TRANCE

I really like our DAY 2 outfits, it looks so girly!

Day two is all about trance, all about light and flowy and enjoying the good vibes from the music.

Hence wearing some thing PASTEL, light and flowy, with our matching flower crowns...

Excuse us while we pretend we're cute magic rave fairies who spread pixie dust across the room with our cuteness...

I even have some pastel pony color hair extension clips to go along with this look!

DAY 3 - MACKELMORE + PHARELL

We wanted to be more chillax for day 3 as you know, as fun as it may sound like, realistically you're gonna be dead tired on day 3.

On day 3 i really wanted to go TRIBAL, something red indian. I'm DARNNN sure somebody will be bringing / wearing that red indian head gear.

The one with the big feather that looks so cool and you'll probably wonder how does one rave with that, #jealous

But damn it, it's undeniable that it looks SOOOO COOOL...

For me, in this case because I don't have that awesome head gear I'll just wear my feathers head band.

And I'm gonna be honest our DAY 3 outfits DOES NOT MATCH at all! but hopefully our make ups will! :D

omg i can't wait to paint my face now!!! hhheheheeh

OKAY GUYS! here's some additional tips for you just in case you're new to raves:

1) STAY HYDRATED 

and plus the haze is NOT HELPING. being in such a crowded space with the haze around leads to no good.

Believe me, people WILL faint, and seriously, the water there is NOT CHEAP, it'll be around rm8-rm10 per bottle of water.

But guys don't be thrifty on this, you gotta drink lots of water....

2) SANDALS

I always wear sandals for raves because they're the comfiest and you won't have to worry it they get spoilt.

Wear shoes if you may or boots but it's gonna be HOT. I always wanted to wear my Martens and heck 

did you know you can stand a chance to win free prizes if you wear your Martens there? but no, I won't because I love my Martens...

3) BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR BELONGINGS

People always lose their wallet / keys / phone at raves, exchange phone numbers with the group of friends you're going with.

Usually I put my belongings in my pocket or I'll ask someone to keep them for me, but recently I saw this arm band from Cotton on!

You can fit your phone, keys, id and money in it, SO GOOD because you don't needda hold anything when you party!!

But one thing bad about it to me is that it looks like some power ranger strap on your arms..... =___= 

4) PARKING

I heard that the car parks in Bukit Jalil Stadium is only gonna be allowed for VIPS, 

Not only you have to be a VIP holder you have to pay RM20-rm30 for the carpark, WHAT IS THIS LA!?

there's another area for parking but it's quite far from the stadium :/ So vickie and I plan on using the LRT,

which stops directly at the stadium. It might be more advisable to use the LRT because

parking there would be a pain in the ass, imagine all the people coming out at the same time...

During raves I usually get stuck in the parking for almost 1-2 hours, and it'll drive you crazy....

SO guys I hope you find this post helpful, and one thing to keep in mind...

Things to do for Valentine's day

Here's my humble guide for you guys who are clueless and who have NO IDEA what to do for Valentine's day.

(Catered for guys especially) These are just some of my suggestions that I seriously would do if I was a guy, 

I may not know much about love, but I think I would be hopelessly romantic if I was a guy... 

So here's some of my ideas that I thought of that could help work for you but first! 

At least pay attention to her 3 months before Valentine's day. Understand what she likes,

Her type of movie, her favorite place to have fun or chill, her favorite food, etc....

If you failed to have done so, it's okay, you can listen to / read my blog,
maybe my advices could help:

Valentine's day promotions are EVERYWHERE. hotel offers are out, places for dinning are all being fully booked.

So guys, don't leave the bookings / reservations last minute... It's such an un-gentlemen thing to do...

You wouldn't wanna disappoint your lady, so if you don't book early it's either you suffer the consequences of having second best 

or you'll need to be extra creative now to surprise her... But don't worry, I might be able to help.

Gentlemen... flowers are a must! 

Don't just get the cliches roses just because you THINK roses SHOULD be romantic?

NO, let's say she likes orchids, get her orchids then! Take some time to understand her... 

like for me I'm quite a picky nut, I'm a bias for big pastel pink roses WITH long branches.... 

It's not easy to find around here, but yeah, I think if a guy got that for me I would be so impressed, 

also wrapped in a transparent foil instead of the designs they provide at the shop (some even got an ugly bear stuck to it)

If you know where she works get at least a big bunch (like 80+ lol) and DELIVER IT TO HER! BOOM on her table like that, haha

and all the other girls beside her would be thinking, "Damn... I wished somebody would love me like THAT."

It's a win-win situation, she's happy she talks about you to her colleagues, they get jealous, 

everyone will know that she's taken when she post a picture of it on facebook and tags you and your ego boosts up. 

See, told you I'd be romantic like that.

What? you think this is not a big deal? Getting recognized and approved by your best friend is a huge deal for your girl.

Even better, introduce her to SOME of your bros, don't you want to make sure the girl you're dating goes along with your friends? 

A girl who is not shy to communicate with your bros is one to keep, bro. Sometimes she just wants to enter your circle, 

to see the people who hangs out with you, and of course to know and understand you more

And as a girl I know it's a nice feeling getting approved by the bros beside you. :)

Do this surprise if you are close to each other, if not it'll annoy the crap out of her!

I would do this trick, get lots of helium balloons and flood it in her car, so when she opens it everything flows out magically.

That is of course if you have the keys to her car, if not then you'll need to try a way to break into her car.

To top it off, leave a small gift underneath all those balloons, and a card! So when she finds out she'll be like, "awww..."

P/S. not advisable to those girls who has phobia of balloons..

Or you could hang this in her room with a helium balloon (must be helium balloon), tied to a present,

I saw this surprise once and my heart totally melted. it was at a big room with just one helium balloon at the corner...

now speaking of presents... Valentine's day actually is a quite big day for some girls...

To them it's like a birthday, they would remember what they did or got during Vday when you ask them,

On this day you wanna buy something special for her, I know there's a lot of things that you could buy, 

not being materialistic but I believe if you love a lady you would wanna spoil her with all the finest things in life for this special day

well at least that's what I would definitely do if I didn't mind spending and if I was a guy who had a girlfriend I love.

You can buy her either a pandora, tiffany and co or a chanel, I think brands like these truly makes a lady FEEL like a lady.

But one of my top gifts that I would get is this gorgeous Cartier Love Bracelet.. I'm sure you've seen it before.

It's quite mainstream, but it's honest because I would buy a pair, one for me, and one for the girl (IF I WAS A GUY).

Such a nice thought to think that if I had one, and my guy was wearing one too, 

I'll be thinking about him when I look at my bracelet. and he as well... SIGHHHHH. so sweet lah....

It's like this secret thing that only we would know.. heheheh <3 nbsp="" p="">

They have this screwdriver to open the bracelets... I think that it's such a sweet thing to get a pair..

sigh... if only, *wishful thinking* .. haha I just absolutely adore this... I could stand in the shop and stare at it all day... 

I love the sound it makes when it clicks with it's other pair, and you could get engravings to carve your love.

Again guys, if you really have the budget, your girlfriends would seriously love this gift A LOT....

Or you could get a Tiffany & co necklace, my advice is to get this same design in silver.

Tired of always going out to watch movies? pick a movie, or not just one even, lay in bed, 

cuddle together whenever you want to, before she comes toss some rose petals around, and lit some scented candle lights...

You don't want it to be too cheesy, so get some snacks like popcorn and make the convo light and easy!

Ever tried having a romantic picnic in the garden? Try sipping wine, get her to wear a sundress and bring out your shades,

talk and laugh under the trees with the breeze and maybe hopefully some swans swimming in the lake nearby,

just hope that they don't come and steal your food...

VILLA SAMADHI.... If you guys are searching for a hotel I recommend non other than this one...

The atmosphere is quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of the city noise, the air is better because of it's trees,

and it's furniture even floor is made out mostly of wood, and almost all of the wood there are aged above 40 years old.

They have this lovely pool, (which I've drawn) with the sun bed, can you imagine chilling with your girlfriend there?

Guys, I know most of you always have this bad habit of constanly checking facebook / playing with your phone,

but take this time off (maybe book a whole weekend there) to shut down your phone, and talk about love :)

 Show your girl how much you love her, I'm sure she'll appreciate it a lot :) 

Why touch your phone all the time when you can touch your babe guys???!

Remember the flowers that I advised you to give her? Put them to use now! 

pluck the petals off and throw them into the bathtub. IF YOU TAKE MY NUMBER 10 ADVISE that's great!

Toss them into the hotel's bathtub because cleaning the tub afterwards isn't romantic at all... lol!

The beach. hold hands. watch the sunset. nothing more romantic than that. final. okay. bye.

I suggest places with an amazing night view of the city lights...

since look out point is already closed, I suggest places where you could sit and cuddle looking outside,

the first place that come i mind is luna bar / sky bar because of it's sofa, near to the window, 

or else, the rood, helipad, or marinis would be an excellent choice too.

Finally guys... Don't be a jerk... I know a lot of guys who just because they just wanna sleep with the girl on Vday

they'd be all romantic and shit just to impress the girl and think that they would fall into their beds afterwards,

but I also know A LOT of girls who fall into that trap and I really pity them :( and so guy,

Don't do ANYTHING if you don't wanna have a serious relationship with the girl... Please la, don't break hearts.

Valentine's day like I said is quite a sentimental day for ANY GIRL. (any girl who denies are mostly lying)

Valentine's day is a day for giving love, not wanting love with bad intentions. SO be a gentlemen guys!

If you don't see a future with her, don't give her any hopes okayy ? :)

Okay guys, another tip, you wanna know a lil secret from us girls? We actually loveeeeee PDA's.

Not the smooching kind of PDA's (Public-Display-Affection), but the little ones like holding hands while walking,

the little kisses on the cheeks, patting her on the head, you gotta touch her, grab her by the waist / shoulders...

Your girl will always be your little girl that needs to be taken care of. Although of course she can perfectly take care of herself,
I think girls adore their man caring for them.. 

wake up GUYS!! your girl needs pampering, you need to constantly remind her how much you love her, 

because even if we already know it, we just like to hear it from you all the time. :) 

I may not know much about love, heck, I'm not even sure myself if I've ever experienced true love before,

but to me, I believe that love is something that needs to be nurtured. Just like a plant, you need to always be there for it,

to watch it grow / grow together, to take care of it, to shower it with love, to talk to it so that it grows beautifully (chinese belief) lol

lately I've been riding whenever I get the chance to cause this is a borrowed bike. 

I don't usually ride because my family hates me riding the bike, 

they're over protecting me from the traffic. even if I just wanna ride in my neigbourhood they would disagree.

so when I was small, I never had a bike to call for my own, and I would never get them as presents.

they were always borrowed TAT

But anyways! I figured out that for this post I wanna talk a bit about stress relieve. 

I always talk about how stressful my life is and honestly it's getting on my nerves, haha! 

the irony talking about how to reduce stress but I'm not listening to some soft classical music.

but to Florida's I cry. I've been hypnotized to this song lately, i would think about it everyday! haha.

anyway I wanna talk about this topic, because I found out a really scary thing about being stressed.

and that's how people get heart attack because their heart can't pump blood anymore.

no wonder you see skinny people getting heartattacks nowadays too, 

not because they don't eat or what, is because they're stress. whao , 

this really changed my perception of only fat people get heart attack cause they don't exercise.

so here are ways for you be less stressed and have a longer life.

cause i wanna see you

1. Eat

that's right, almost everybody goes to the snacks / munchies / comfort food whenever they feel stress.

I'm not saying that I choose fruits over sugar cause I'm probably the most unhealthy one among my friends.

I'm saying that all these snacks and comfort food like coke/ chocolates gives you an instant comfort,

they do help you reduce your stress, but they also give a very unpleasant crash.

And did you know that food with high carbs like bread, potatoes, pasta, etc makes you happy?

they produce serotonin, the feel good chemical which is good for you when you wanna release stress.

I can't believe despite my crazy busy schedule I did research, here! if you wanna be stressfree eat:

pistachios, salmon, turkey, sweet potatoes, oranges, hot green tea.

I had salmon, oranges, hot green tea for dinner tonight, whao! 

no wonder I"m not worried about my assignments to pass up tomorrow, lol.

eventho I don't have an idea what to do about them yet, i'm still blogging, lol

2. massage / relaxation / meditating / exercise 

okay, I know this works and so does yoga, finding the inner peace in you shit.

but for me, it doesn't because i have a very busy lifestyle,

and my lifestyle restricts me from going out to exercise.

Now I know this may be just an excuse, but I'm talking truth.

and chances is that I'm higher at risk when it comes to getting a heart attack

no exercise + stressful life does not end up good.

They say find an exercise that you love doing, well I love swimming but I don't know how, haha.

I love cycling because I can feel the wind in my hair but I don't have a bike! 

but last year, I found out my crazy likings for martial arts.

I know it sounds so weird, even me writing this down makes me feel weird, but I really wanna learn.

Mostly for self defense reasons, but I can also say that I do enjoy boxing.

okay, my lady like image has gone to the gutter now that you're imagining me boxing,

but I'm so sorry, I wanna be frank and honest cause I'm not that ballet type of girl.

Well I'm your ordinary lady, I don't act like a man, eat like a man or fart in public like a man,lol but

If I had close guy friends I would actually practice boxing with them, with pillows of course,

haha, and if I did had a punching bag at home (which i secretly want) I would punch it everyday, lol

is that counted as an exercise? 

and I guess punching bags are a good stress relieve exercise! 

Oh take a deep breath, if you don't have a bike or a punching bag like me, the air is free anyways !:)

3. Show some love

showing your love to your friends, family, yourself or even a stranger a day can really help brighten your spirit.

I love showing kindness acts to strangers or those friends who aren't close to me cause it makes me tingle inside.

giving them a surprising act of kindness without being judged and seeing them happy is priceless.

Close and tight friends who know me well always assume that I'm up to no good if I show them love.

haha, it's probably their way of teasing me, but yea. that's kind of the reasons why I'm not so kind infront of them.

Show some love to your pets! (this sounds like you ain't got no friends) but honestly,

if your friends let you down, hugging my dog really makes me feel better, I don't know how to explain this,

but ahhh, the feeling is so good. (oh and I just researched why) ==

physical contact with your pet or a human (lol)

may actually help lower blood pressure and decrease stress hormones, hmmm, interesting! 

Taking a time out whenever you feel stress is also a way of showing love to yourself.

For me, when I'm in a very stressful position till I'm about to erupt. 

at the end of the day I stop whatever I'm doing and go for online shopping, haha! 

and surprisingly I'm not alone, some of my friends do the same after they hit the limit.

hehe.

omg. can this ever get any more mainstreamed?
just #topshop on instagram and you can see almost 70% of the pictures are this geek shirt.
I don't see it being "cool" and why on earth would someone label themselves as geeks?
it's the same thing as labeling yourselves as sluts or bitches!
definitely a nayyyyyyyyyy for me.

// 3. The Dipdye Hair //

haha, you've seen some, your mom seen some, your dad seen some and probably you're grandma's bored of it.

there's a time where almost all of your friends are doing it, 

whether or not saving money for the saloon or DIY it yourselves, yup, 

everyone's planning on what color to get and where to do it. 

but honestly, if you're a sophisticated, elegant, classy, smart girl, who styles herself "beautifully",

I don't think this is the look for you my dear.

i won't say that someone who has dipdye(s) are beautiful, however they suit the tittle "daring" more.

i only say someone is beautiful when they look stunning. 

imagine angelina jolie in a long deep V bare back leather dress, now that's beautiful.

can you imagine her with dipdyes?? no! her standard promptly gets flushed down the toilet!

dipdyes are definitely for those who are wild, young, brave, daring, and probably those who party alot.

honestly, this is a book either you love it, or hate it.
and honestly... it's not a book only about sex!
I find it so offensive when someones say you're reading porn, it's not!
I know there's a few pages talking about sex, and yes, quite a lot of weird things going on in the other series.
but! it's just like a more adult version of the book twilight. more details, more intimacy etc etc.
It's a fantasy for most women because the way the author describes the hero is so... fictional.
it's definitely something you can't find in real life and some women seek for that fantasy.
come on. twilight = 2 hot guys in deep worship after one ordinary girl = which girl doesn't want that?!
50 shades = the main character, 27 year old mysterious, hunky millionaire CEO of his own company,
knows how to fly a plane, speaks fluent foreign language after one girl...
and for a man who's in charge of such a huge company, he seems to spend little time working. lol
oh come on. that's why it's a top hit next to twilight.
sold over 40 million (grasp!) copies worldwide and overtaken Harry potter and Da Vincci Code,
if so many hate it, I wonder why is it still number one on amazon.

anddd. i'm going off topic, i can almost write a long post about 50 shades,
but this is definitely a STAY for me, because, I can't wait for the movie.
which I longgg hope that Ian somerhalder gets the part!! yes! his body and his looks.......

Okay, back to topic *focus focus*

for me, it has NAAAY written on it in sooo many ways. 

1) I don't think I can ever pull off this look because my hips are HUGE.

that's why I never, and don't ever want to own a peplum.

I'm not saying they're as huge as Kim's ones but they're close by.

And if you have hips that are as huge as hers and you're still wearing that peplum top/dress that you think is 

"oh, so cute" [ kim's voice ] . then take a look at yourself.

take a look at the mirror. take a look at yourself wearing that peplum. and now take a look at me.

you disgrace fashion.

I honestly think that peplum tops/dress are specially designed for those who have a slender/petite body,

they're perfectly crafted for those with NEEDs. not for those who already have Shakira's hips and want to show off.

It just goes to the wrong and dark side the world you don't want to be in. lol

2) I always think that I looks like an ultra mini flare skirt attached to a top. haha.

// 6. The Fuckdown //

ladies... and gentleman .... 

do I even need a word for this?!

I don't even need a proper picture of this and you know what it is already, don't you?

I just don't understand the waves of mainstream. 

Just because G-Dragon wears it, and then a lot of fashion blogger follows and wears it. 

doesn't mean everyone in the worlddd has to have it. 

and the most RIDICULOUS part of all is the fonts... it's just a black / white HELVETICA font

printed on a plain shirt / beanie / cap, and you pay hundreds for it?! 

absolutely ridiculous. 

I know it's Helvetica because I wrote it and it looks exactly like the logo.

you just have to make the C, O, and the bowl of the "d" more circular. and that's it!!

// 6. The Fishtail //

call it Fishtail or asymmetrical, it's the same thing.

and I used to remember shopping malls were filled with oceans of fishtails everywhere! 

that was during the start of january or feb 2012 when almost everyone bummed into the same skirt! 

haha it's such a funny thing to watch.

 I also own some of these fishtail skirts and they're kept deep inside my closet.

I hope that I don't have to see any of this pass 2012 skirts for 2013 anymore, 

so NAY for me, goodbye fishtail! I'm selling you off! 

// 7. The Studs //

hello! did I hear anyone saying NAY?! 

it's definitely a stay for me cause my style has always have a punk or rock side to it.

I love it and I don't think it's never gonna change, it's a comfortable side for me, 

and to change it is like asking me to change my hairstyle.

so people, don't get bored of me with studs, cause you'll definitely see more coming this 2013.

// 8. The Neon Era //

more like the LALA era to me. 

remember a gazillion years ago people used to wear red shorts, match with yellow bag with a blue top?

yea, everything is just so striking and attention seeking. 

but I think the Neon Era is less attention seeking than the LALA era.

at least! people start silenting it down by matching neon with black or One tone / earth color clothes.

but it's becoming too much for me and I hope people could find more ways to play with neon and not go overtheboard.

I can't wait to see what's in stored for fashion trends for 2013.

// 9. The Stachel //

from the neon era, also came the stachel bags.

famous for it's neon series which is covered widely in lookbook.

it's simple in design, modern and yet has a vintage feel to it.

I think that even guys can pull them off, ( just not the hot pink ones please).

// 10. The Taylor //

how ironic. I used to remember a lottt of people including ryan higa used to make fun of

2012 has been a big year for the successful country girl. I love how she changed from a 

"Romeo and Juliet" girl into "We are never ever ever getting back together girl".

That's the success of show-biz, to see someone evolve. 

always staying on the top 10 charts for either singles or albums.

I'm really proud of her that she totally changed my perspective that she was just a lil girl next door.

// 11. The Unicorn //

suddenly, in year 2012. everyone's obsess of this cute mystical creature.

suddenly everyone is hyped up about unicorns, and when ask, they'll say:

"oh but i'm different. I've alwayyyyss liked them".

haha, bullshit.

that's all for 2012's fashion flashback that I can think of now.

I can't wait to see what 2013 unfolds and excitement fills my heart when I think about it! 

but aside from fashion, here's some serious shit.

for me, when I think about 2013, nothing but black and white fills me. 

not confetti, not loud music, not glittery shimmers spread like pixie dust everywhere, no.

2013 is gonna be big for me, it's the year where I choose career or university.

it's the year where I have to make really big choices, and it's a dubious year filled with uncertainty.

I feel like I'm standing on a piece of string walking and I don't know if i'm gonna reach to the other side, or fall.

I feel lost and I hate this feeling of "uncontrol-ness" that I have on my future.

the start of 2012 was perfect because I had everything in control, I knew what I want to do, 

and what I want to become. 

But writing this on the 1st day of 2013, I'm lost, and out of words.

black and white really suits my current situation now 

because it's up to me to fill the picture up with colors and decide which road I want to take.

Not letting the quote "let the road take me" be my motto.

your future is created with your own hands yourself.

not some stupid road or river to guide you.
