6 Things

It's important to really sit down and reflect each year. Recently I've finally got some time to really think through 

what 2015 has given me. So thought I'd shared some of my lessons learnt with you guys and hopefully it inspires you :)

1. Detox, Cleanse & Remove

...not only what you put in your body, but the people you surround yourself with. Even online, on facebook- Is this person constantly ranting about how bad his/her life is? Are you still 'spying' on your ex? Wait, do you have your ex's password and is constantly checking who is he talking online?? Don't do that... even if it was a 'clean breakup' (or not) clinging on this 'hope' that he is not doing as good as you are is totally UNHEALTHY. Detox the negativity, unfollow all of the instagram accounts and fb friends that make you feel like shit. Unsubscribe to constantly-popping-up-random-ass-e-newsletters that you don't even remember signing up for. Is this 'friend' constantly pulling you down? Is this person always using you just for his/her benefits? Have a good look at your circle because you are the 5 people you spend most of your time with. Which leads to my second point...

2. Managing Time

We all have our fair shares of procrastinating. Procrastination is the Thief of Time, so set your goals everyday, it's always good to set a What-do-you-see-yourself-in-5-years goals, but everyday, set aside time to just sit by yourself and be silent. Schedule yourself into your day. Target what do you want to finish today, write it down, write down what you're going to accomplish at the beginning of every workday (or before!), what are the steps you need to take to accomplish a certain task, GET A PLANNER! This is a practise that I've been doing for 6 years now and it really makes me feel like my time is well spent. Hey, we all know time is short, so spend every minute of it wisely!

3. Dress UP

I've been toning it down with dressing up in 2015 - a lot of the reasons were: Being too busy at work / Couldn't be bothered because 'it's just the mamak' situation / No hot guys around to impress also, dress for what?? / Just want to be comfortable,etc. Sigh... That wasn't 'me' before, and honestly dressing down (I mean just casually grabbing sweatpants with some random shirt going out) affects your mood a lot. For me, it made me felt less motivated to do work, less happy - more gloomy, very "cin-cai" - and I hated it. Apart from that I hated the fact when you put on something tight or something that you haven't wore for a long time and you ABSOLUTELY look HORRID in it because you don't fit it anymore. Oh my goodness, that feeling of not being able to buckle your jeans is so depressing, I never want to feel that again this year! Let's fill up our closet with beautiful clothes this year okay? Speaking of which, the beautiful blue floral kimono that you see me in is from DREAMSCAPE - A local online boutique which (in my opinion) very Zara-like. They're modern and chic, their style is simple, but minimalist in a way where it fits everyone, I've already gotten a few pieces from them before, like this grey knit top HERE, this ripped jeans HERE, all are some of my favourite pieces from them. 4. Explore different things at least once a week

Exploring something new could be a different cafe (yes we heard you, you cafe-hoppers), a new type of movie genre, a new hobby, a new kind of sport, or travel to somewhere foreign you've never seen before, breath a new air, watch a new tv series, cut a new hairstyle, try colored contact lenses for once if you haven't! Simple things, little things that sparks a "new" kindda feeling. Always feel a sort of refresh in your system, because life's too short doing the same routine over and over again. Doesn't mean that you have a 9-5 job so you need to be boring. What are those labels anyways?! So always do something to "refresh" your routine everyday.

5. Be a Friend to Yourself

Stop beating yourself up. Imagine the words that you say to yourself :"You're too fat / God you're so ugly / No one likes you / You're useless"
Would you say these kind of things to your friends or someone you love? If not why do it to yourself? Be a good friend to yourself, take some
time to properly listen to what you want and feel, because at the end of the day, no boyfriend or no best friend is gonna take care of you
24/7. You yourself know what you want, so stick by your own side at all times. and be nice

6. Remember the good

This one took quite a hard time to write because it's an unfortunate consequence of the human condition that our failures tend to stand out more prominently than our triumphs. Just to name a few lows from 2015, the top highlights were the fact that I found out I was manipulated for 2 and a half years, cheated and lied and used and then chucked aside, a huge part of me died during that process. my Macbook died, I lost my iphone which was hella depressing, my car died, and all these happened in a month! Great! Hella great. but at the same time I did survived it anyways, if not I won't be here tying on the keyboards of my new iMac, thinking about how a wrong situation could lead you to know what is the right path. Of me finally learning how to be picky with who I invest my time in, because wasted time is worse than wasted money. No doubt that I did had to learn things the hard way, and in many desperate hours I blame myself for not being able to see clearer or understand it faster. All I know is that this year, I want to make things better, for myself, and for the people I care about. As cliche as it sounds, count your blessings.
Someone else is praying for the blessings you take for granted. 

There, I'm finally done with writing the thoughts in my head. Finally (after 20 days) I feel like I can close the chapter of 2k15, and begin a new one. Cheers to a better year folks! Don't wish for it but work to make it happen! :)

KYLIE JENNER'S style + LIP TUTORIAL

So I just did a first impression video of ze famous Kylie Jenner's over-drawn lip tutorial. Haha it was mainly for fun cause I guessed 

that it would look funny on me so I thought I'd shared my first try with you all. So I decided hey why not do a style post on her as well 

since I found soooo many nice pictures of her and did my research while looking up the web for her glorious lip liner tutorials. 

But first we all know that if you wanna be like Kylie Jenner, you gotta have THAT LIPS, THOSE ABS, AND THAT ASS THO... lol

So I noticed 3 things from the Kylie Jenner's style. It's that she is always wearing black boots or black shoes, and to be specific, it's either 

over-the-knee sexy gorgeous looking BLACK BOOTS, or SANDAL HEELS, A BIG BLACK HANDBAG, and DISTRESSED JEANS. It's really kindda

confusing how well she can pull off the classy-grunge look, unlike some people (well like me), if I dyed and bleached my hair it'll probably look

very much like a broom-stick, but for Kylie it's just amazing how her hair always looks so good - from those beautiful mermaid turquoise tails, 

to that dip-dyed blonde with black shades, then to that Ariana Grande locks, and then dying it back to her gorgeous black long locks again... 

life of a celebrity is just amazeballs. haha! One thing that I really like from her style is those sky high knee length boots tho. so perfect! If only 

Malaysia wasn't too hot, or had other seasons other than SUMMER all year round, I would totally get myself those boots! Ain't nobody looking 

so hot in that long jersey dress with them boots other than Kylie. sigh, SOOOO FUCKING HOT! hahha okay. So here are just some few styles 

that I realized from Kylie's style book, I would die to check out her wardrobe, I wonder how many black bags does she own. LOL. 

Christmas Make Up look x BBIA, EGLIPS Korean MAKE UP REVIEW from OOH-N-AAH.com

HELLO LADIES... This beautiful festive day of the year is about to come!! and I'm extremely excited! Literally feeling the Christmas vibe 

everywhere in town!! I get ecstatic at the thought of it too, especially when I see christmas decos everywhere, even on parking tickets! 

I saw this Mid Valley's christmas themed parking ticket HERE last night and it made me smileeee :) I guess it's the lil things that matters! 

When we think of christmas we think of MAGIC(!), snow, glitters, gold, red, bronze, shimmers and of course a Christmas tree, lol,

So for this year, I got inspired to do a Christmas Make up look by yours truly! Can't believe I didn't blog anything for last year

:O What a waste! So for this year, in collaboration with Ooh-n-Aah.com , I made a video tutorial for my make up look! Have a look!

# 1. Eglips Powder Pack from OOH-N-AAH.com

The first thing I put on my face after using my Shisheido foundation, I set it with this powder pack which makes my skin 

look ultra baby-bottom smooth! And somehow it micro blurs out pores in a really silky soft texture that I like!

Plus it's palm size and very compact to be carrying everywhere! It's size is just perfect for a gentle lady to use.

Not only that I'm especially loving round curves for campact powders than square edges, it feels more girlie!

# 2. NYX white eyeliner

I highlighted the parts where I want my gold glitter to be, and a white base would really make the color POP OUT.

I don't usually use this technique but hey it's for Christmas, and if you need any eyeshadow to shine brighter, 

you could use this white base underneath eyeshadow technique! :)

# 3. BBIA eyeshadows from OOH-N-AAH.com

Once you've highlighted your eyes with the white eyeliner, be sure to darken the rest with these babies!

Added on all this eyeshadows to make my flat eyes look 3D ! hahah that's the secret to making my mono-lids look not obvious

Add different shades of eye shadows and blend them for a more natural look rather than just using ONE shade, 

there's a big difference if you try using all 4 shades rather than 1. I'm loving this almost matte eyeshadows to the max! 

The reason why I'm saying that they're almost matte is because there's still micro mini size shimmer in them,

but not till the point where it's really shimmery it's obvious, IDK, but I'm into less shimmery eyeshadows lately.

It looks more natural! So natural that a ratchet girl like me used #01 to darken my nose bridge, hehe. It works well 

and I've been saving up on bronzers! To be honest... I don't even have and don't own any bronzers T_T

 #02 is a darker shade than #01 (obviously), #10 has a maroon shade to it, I think it would work perfectly with purple!

Ratchet girl's advice to you is that for #08 you migggght just be able to use it as a blusher also, what a nice color! lol.

# 04. NYX gold glide on eye shadow stick

It's an eyeshadow glide on stick on the go! Has this glossy texture as a outcome, and I use this to add gold glitter on, 

because it's has this creamy kindda texture when applied on that can stick the glitter, again another silly makeup idea of mine 

lol... But hey it kindda makes sense no? It works like a glue for the glitter to be stuck on! 

# 05. BBIA bronze and red glitter from OOH-N-AAH.com

I'm pretty sure this is a use-anywhere-its-okay kindda glitter, hence I used the red one to highlight the middle of my lips too!

:P heeh This really shimmery bronze and red glitter brings out the christmas mood! Cause what's christmas without blings?

The frosty shine that it gives just lights up my festive mood, I'll probably put it all over my face and body for extra

boost of christmas mood! AHHHH Christmas, what a wonderful time of the year!!! :) 

# 06. BBIA gel eyeliners in bronze and cream color from OOH-N-AAH.com

My lower eyes are highlighted with this babies, a gorgeous dark bronze eyeliner with a cream shade shimmery eyeliner

that makes your eyes pop out! Just line the cream shade on your waterline to instantly make your eye seem like it sparkles! 

Cause it's a bit glittery for the cream eyeliner, I then just use the bronze eyeliner to draw on the outer sides of my eyes.

# 07. URBAN DECAY black eyeliner 

I swear by using this black eyeliner from Urban Decay, it's the blackest one that I have ever purchased!

# 08 BBIA cream blusher from OOH-N-AAH.com

I always think that blushers make you ultra cute. It's an effortless magnet to attract guys, LOL. Just swipe this 

on both sides of your cheeks and you'll be to die for! An instant boost of cuteness, I'm loving this cream texture,

because it's so easy to blend! And for a person like me who don't use blusher on a daily basis, I think this packs a lot! 

Wondering when will I be able to finish thie whole pack! 

# 10 3CE matte red lipstick from OOH-N-AHH.com

The best way to describe this color is red hot chilli peppers lol. Almost a fine line to a coral shade,

I heard some matte lipstick can get really chappy but thank god this one is not, it's not dry at all!

I decided that for this look imma put the focus on the eyes more so I un-brighten the look with...

# 11. NYX maroon color lipstick

I used this to outline my lips, I probably should own a lip liner, but budget girl's gonna be realllls. haha

I already used my eyeshadow as a bronzer and highlighter, I'm guessing there's a lot of many other ways to improvise! 

LOL this shade has a vampy look that I like which I think with the combination of 3ce's chilly red matte lipstick,

it would make my lips look more 3D like! More fuller looking plump lips! :)

# 12. MAJO red eyeliner, SILKY GIRL green eyeliner

I borrowed this from my colleague Step because well, I have noooo color liner, and I never wore any out before.

Haha, thank god someone I know has this so I can borrow and make my Christmas look look complete! 

Adding a mistletoe on my cheeks well just because. Hey I think it's pretty quirky and cute okay. ;D hehe.

Anyone wants to kiss these lips below the mistletoe? :P hhehehe

 

And the look is complete! :3 Just put on some cute christmas headband and you're good to go!
I got this reindeer one from Daiso for only RM5! Why spend on something that you only wear once?
HAHAHHA, i know... the whole video and my blog has been in a very tight budget recently,
because again I have to stress... I am epic broke......

Anyways my look wouldn't have been complete without the help of OOH-N-AAH.com , I'm sure you've seen me using

 I'm really looking forward to Christmas, although every year I have no idea what I would do, because 

my familia doesn't celebrate Christmas. But I think people just make christmas seem so... magical :) filled with hopes,

and dreams, and sparkly stuffs, haha. Hmmmm... Christmas.. What should I do this year? :)

Well not literally all guys in general but guys! I'm sure you've seen their huge banners on shell stations! 

I personally pump from Shell every time (hey, no they didn't sponsor me petrol or pay me to say this okay),

but I usually pump with Shell because it's the closest to my house. 

And frankly, I noticed there's 2 similarities between Shell and Maybank.

First, they're both yellow like Digi, second, THEY'RE EVERYWHERE! SUPER CONVENIENT!

FIRST TIME FASTING (berpuasa on ramadan)

Finally finish editing my one day fasting adventure vlog,

I have so much salute for those of you who fast, seriously, 

after trying out this myself I realised it isn't easy going on the whole day without water!

Especially those who work under the sun, those who serve food / drinks, those who travel and walk here and there, 

and those who have to meet clients back and forth, oh gosh, I never knew it would be this difficult without water (or food!)

Like I said, I did this not to mock other religion (in this case Islam), and I have no intention to.

But this is just for the pure purpose of experiencing what my muslim friends go though even if it's just for a day:)

I hope I didn't offend anyone in anyway, and if I somehow did, I'm sincerely sorry for my lack of knowledge for Islam :/

I did this also as a challenge for myself, and frankly it's pretty fun! 

Haha, but oh gosh, pretty hard not drinking a sip of water for the whole day man!

My perspective towards the people who fast totally changed after trying it out myself! 

Seriously I salute you guys who PUASA and I have so much more respect (not that I never had) 

for you guys now after trying it myself!  RESPECT LEVEL 999 I'm just so impressed and look up to people who PUASA.

Like I already said in the video, 

It's funny how people relate me to Felixia Yeap straight when I tell them I'm gonna try to fast.

Haha, no don't worry guys I'm not turning Muslim soon (altho what if I do? Is there something to be worried or upset about?)

To me, religions are just practices and teachings, To me, I may like the teachings of Buddhists that urge us to stay calm at every situation, 

at the same time, I may like the teachings from the Bible reminding us to always seek god's love when we feel hopeless,

or maybe I might like the teachings of Islam to always seek for knowledge and to learn more.

I believe in our modern day society we're given more and more options, even when it comes down to religions,

we're free to explore and we're no longer needed to follow what our families may have taught us, 

we may be expose to more information, more practices, and more learnings. 

Okay, I think I'm going a bit off-track again, haha, somehow I don't really like to talk about religions, 

because I think that it's quite a heavy topic for me to put out there, because I'm sure we all have different views on this, and

because I'm always afraid if I may offend someone, but what I'm just saying is just fully from my own point of perspective.

SO GUYS! Chillax! have fun! 

For those of you who's interested in fasting there's a few more days for you to try out together with your muslim friends! :D

Just go for it and experience it just like how I did, I believe whenever you fast, you learn something more about yourself,

For me fasting this time, I learnt more about self-discipline, cause I'm pretty weak at that, and after this I do realise this problem.

OF COURSE! Time to work more on that!

And what happens when you're cheerful and happy? You go out for some happy shopping!

finally after so long I decided to get this pallette, after you guys saw my pathetic current eye shadow palette in the video,

one day I decided to upgrade to a better one because I felt bad for my sad Kate eyeshadow palette.

It's like a relationship that's already stall yet you're still hanging onto it just because you're used to it,

haha, sounds familiar? my favorite shade is half baked, tease, and pistol :)

I am so so so so pleased with this, currently THE BEST BB CREAM that I've ever found!!

24/7 GLIDE ON EYE PENCIL from URBAN DECAY

totally smudge proved and a real one swipe wonder, it's the most intense black eyeliner i've ever tried! 

Seriously amazed because with the same pressure my current old eyeliner looks a bit like the line on the right, 

and the left side one is the one from 24/7 glide on eye pencil. seriously i'm loving this eyeliner

because it also has that crayon kindda texture, kindda oil based in my opinion when you apply so it's super smooth!!

The rest of the stuffs that I bought were shoes, clothes, books, and other unnecessary things that made me happy. haha!

I enjoyed the cosmetics the best from this summer haul, I filmed this almost a month ago, and I've bought lots of things after that:/

I'm totally broke right now, and I'm trying to save up for a new mac cause my current one is giving me problems,

like it suddenly shuts down it self and it happened a lot of times already these few months.. sigh getting old I guess :(

And also I'll need to save up for my BKK trip which is end of AUGUST that I don't think I've told you guys before :D

YESSSS TO MORE SPICY FOOD AND SHOPPINGG . sigh can't wait for this break :)
